10-11-22   THOUGHTS

Ps 8:4  What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him?  What a precious and penetrating question this is!  It is parallel to verse 6 in the reading below.  Php 2:8   Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.    From the beginning our God has cared for us marvelously!  In His Majestic Might, He beholds US IN LOVE!  So, “7  He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the needy from the ash heap, 8  To make them sit with princes, With the princes of His people.”  That’s me loved ones.  I’m the “ash heap man” who sits with princes”!    1Pet 2:9 “But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR [God’s] OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”   1Sam 2:7-8  "The LORD makes poor and rich; He brings low, He also exalts.  8  "He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the ash heap To make them sit with nobles, And inherit a seat of honor; For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, And He set the world on them.

Ps 113:1-9   Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD. 2  Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forever.  3  From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the LORD is to be praised. 4  The LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens. 5  Who is like the LORD our God, Who is enthroned on high, 6  Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth? 7  He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the needy from the ash heap, 8  To make them sit with princes, With the princes of His people. 9  He makes the barren woman abide in the house As a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!
Ps 107:41   But He sets the needy securely on high away from affliction, And makes [his] families like a flock.
Job 5:15-16    "But He saves from the sword of their mouth, And the poor from the hand of the mighty.  16  "So the helpless has hope, And unrighteousness must shut its mouth.
Ezek 17:24   "All the trees of the field will know that I am the LORD; I bring down the high tree, exalt the low tree, dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish. I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will perform [it."]
Jas 2:5   Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world [to be] rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

My Prayer:
That you, O God, have been mindful of us, is amazing and wonderful.   Grace, and mercy and love abound as they descend from your throne.  May we live in the shadow of the cross, as we behold God who has saved us!  We can but lift you up and praise you for such love.  Your eternal desire toward your children is awesome to behold.  You are our hope and our rock.  There is no God but You.  How marvelous to rest in your hands.  In the precious name of Jesus we pray,    Amen.                pray for our sister Heather
